ComputerizationComputerization is the solo project of Brooklyn-based musician Derek Dobson. Computerization makes and performs music using the synthesizer from the Nintendo Entertainment System, as well as samples ripped from the NES (via MIDINES) and Atari 2600 (via Synthcart). All songs also include vocoded vocals His first, self-titled EP was NES and Atari-free exploration in lighthearted dorkiness sung to analog-modeled synths and lo-fi, mono beats. It has been featured on a variety of blogs and radio programs. While promoting the self-titled EP Derek created over 50 custom songs for people around the globe. All Computerization songs are available for free download, though it is possible to purchase CDs as well.
